Discover the Filmmaker Within You!

We continue the workshops started last winter, teaching young people to create witty short films using video material collected on their smartphones. By teaching audiovisual language, we give the younger generation the ability to communicate with the world in a universally understood visual and auditory language. The creation of short films (up to 3 minutes) will be linked to sending greetings for special occasions (Christmas, New Year, Independence Day). Prizes are planned for the best short films!

The trainers and jury are experienced filmmakers from Pärnu County: Jaak Elling, Joosep Matjus, Sulev Keedus, Kersti Uibo, Mark Soosaar.

It has been found that Saturday mornings are the best time when students are free from regular school and extracurricular activities. Therefore, group lessons will take place every Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in a dedicated space at the Museum of New Art in Pärnu. For participants coming from farther away (Metsküla, Kihnu, Tõstamaa), we offer training at a time convenient for them.

Each workshop lasts 2×45 minutes.

The deadline for submitting films to the jury is March 25, 2025.

Best short film: 200 euros
Three incentive prizes: 100 euros each
