30 min. 2013, INDIA (recorded in India)

Directed, edited and sound by Richa Hushing

The sacred groves have been a part of rich tradition of Indian societies. They are known as Devrai which means the adobe of Gods... The indigenous tribal communities have been protecting them with their taboos and religious beliefs. Beyond the socio-religious the film explores the political and economic significance of Devrai as a tool to assert ownership and customary rights over forests annexed by the state since colonial times.

MAHARASHTRA PÜHAD SALUD

Autor Richa Hushing

Pühad salud on osa India ühiskonna rikkalikest traditsioonidest. Neid tuntakse Devrai nime all, mis tähendab jumalate koda.
